Dose Effects Of Oral Bovine Colostrum On Physical Work Capacity In Cyclists

この研究の注釈:

Supplementation of either 60g whey protein, 60g colostrum, or a combination of 20g colostrum with 40g whey, in elite cyclists over the course of eight weeks noted that performance on a weighted cycling test (similar to Wingate) failed to have any difference between groups (despite all groups improving by about 4% relative to baseline) although in a 2 hour endurance test there was an improvement of 132s and 158s in the colostrum groups (difference not significant) which were both greater than the whey only group at 37s.

The Effect Of Bovine Colostrum Supplementation On Exercise Performance In Elite Field Hockey Players

この研究の注釈:

Eight weeks supplementation of colostrum powder at 60g (three doses of 20g) in elite field hockey players during the beginning of their competitive seasons noted that, relative to the placebo (whey protein), colostrum failed to improve anaerobic cardiovascular exercise (sprints and suicide runs) and did not influence power output.

Lean mass increased with colostrum relative to baseline, but was similar to the increase seen with whey protein.

Bovine Colostrum Supplementation’s Lack Of Effect On Immune Variables During Short-term Intense Exercise In Well-trained Athletes

この研究の注釈:

Supplementation of colostrum at 25g daily (two doses) with a high IgG content (65g/L) for ten days in which the last two days were a glycogen depletion trial followed by an endurance trial (90m at 50% Wmax) failed to alter performance during the glycogen depletion trial (anaerobic), failed to alter immune cell changes during exercise, immunoglobulins in serum, or any measured interleukin or cytokine relative to placebo (skim milk).

Effect Of Bovine Colostrum On Anaerobic Exercise Performance And Plasma Insulin-like Growth Factor I

この研究の注釈:

In lightly active men given colostrum at 60g daily conferring 120mcg IGF-1 (placebo of whey protein at the same dose) daily for eight weeks alongside a six time weekly training protocol noted that colostrum failed to improve any measurement of power output relative to whey protein.

Oral Bovine Colostrum Supplementation Enhances Buffer Capacity But Not Rowing Performance In Elite Female Rowers

この研究の注釈:

60g colostrum daily in elite female rowers daily for nine weeks, relative to whey protein as control, appeared to reliably increase blood buffering capacity (assessed by the relationship between lactate and pH) but this buffering capacity was not associated with performance on rowing tests and the actual performance on rowing tests was not affected by supplementation.
