Clinical Efficacy Of Coleus Forskohlii (Willd.) Briq. (Makandi) In Hypertension Of Geriatric Population
この研究の注釈:

In a population of geriatric patients aged 50-80 years, Coleus Forskohlii dosed at 500mg (Ghana) or 700mg (Churna) thrice daily with meals for 2 months. The difference tested in this study was delivery system (specifically, capsules)

Blood pressure was reduced by about 10.75-12.07% systolic, and 8.65-9.80% diastolic when measured in a sitting position. Both groups were significant improvements from baseline, and no differences existed between groups.

2.6% and 2.38% reduction in BMI was seen with Ghana and Churna, respectively.

11.81% and 8% increases in HDL in Ghana and Churna, respectively.

Body Composition And Hormonal Adaptations Associated With Forskolin Consumption In Overweight And Obese Men
この研究の注釈:

Overweight and Obese men were given two doses of 250mg Coleus Forskohlii (10% Forskolin by weight) over a period of 12 weeks in a double blind manner.

Lean mass increased 3.71+/-4.07kg in Coleus group and 1.57+/-2.56kg in control, and fat mass decreased 4.52+/-5.74kg in Coleus and 0.51+/-1.91kg in control. High variance was noted, but the fat loss was significantly different between groups.

Bone mass increased significantly, and favorable body composition changes were seen via DXA. Testosterone increased in the Coleus group relative to placebo, but high variability was seen.

Effects Of Coleus Forskohlii Supplementation On Body Composition And Hematological Profiles In Mildly Overweight Women
この研究の注釈:

23 overweight females using 250mg (10% forskolin, contributing 25mg forskolin) twice daily for 12 weeks.

There was a non-significant decrease in weight from baseline in the Coleus group, but a significant difference between Coleus and placebo. It appeared to negate fat gain that the placebo group experienced. However, body fat percentage remained relatively constant in both groups.

Coleus group reported less fatigue, hunger, and fullness.
